Create snowflakes with no glue, no scissors, and no mess!

  1. Intro
    • This lesson could use a variety of loose parts (toothpicks, pennies, etc)
    • Mess-free snowflake creations
    • Involves play based and project based learning
  2. Prompt
    • Design snowflakes
    • This works best on round tables or on a large floor space
    • Give students 5-10 minutes
    • Walk around and observe what others have built
    • Show students images of snowflakes online and point out the hexagonal shape of each
    • Repeat the activity with this new parameter
    • Take photos to remember these designs
