Bridge the gap between play and learning

1. Intro
   • Introduce your students to bridge engineering and construction
2. Prompt
   • Start with two planks on a flat surface 6-8 inches apart, the space in between is your “river”
   • Construct a bridge that crosses this gap without touching the two planks
   • Supports in the “river” are allowed
   • Allow around 5 minutes for this activity, adjust if necessary
   • Do a gallery walk to admire the various structures
